The 3x3 basketball game is a smaller version of traditional basketball, played on half a court with only one basket. This format is faster and more dynamic, often considered appealing to fans as it emphasizes individual skills and quick teamwork.


Key Rules of 3x3 Basketball:

  • Number of Players:  Each team consists of 3 players on the court and 1 substitute.
  • Game Duration: The game lasts 10 minutes or until one team scores 21 points, If the time expires and no team reaches 21 points, the team with the highest score wins.
  • Scoring: Shots made inside the arc are worth 1 point, Shots made from beyond the arc are worth 2 points.
  • Shot Clock: Teams have only 12 seconds to shoot, compared to 24 seconds in traditional basketball.
  • Resuming Play: After a basket or turnover, the team gaining possession must take the ball beyond the arc before attempting to score.
  • Possession Rules: After a made basket, play does not restart from the center as in traditional basketball. The defending team transitions directly into offense.

Our national team ends its participation in the Islamic Solidarity Basketball Championship 3x3 in Turkey with a victory over Jordan. The championship witnessed the brilliance of Ramzi Qamsiyeh, son of Beit Sahour and the Arab Orthodox Cultural Club, who achieved the highest total points recorded among the national team players in this participation.

Our national team 3x3 men's team left participating in the 2022 Asian Cup qualifiers in Singapore, the team will start its matches on 07/07, as the draw placed the Al-Fedai Basketball team in Group Five, alongside the Indian team and the Turkmenistan team.
